How might we effectively motivate Red Ink customers to adopt and consistently use the Red Ink mobile app?
Unveiling The Flaws
A meticulous UX audit revealed glaring issues: color contrast failing WCAG standards, CTAs in competition, lacking hierarchy, inconsistent spacing, and a hidden rewards page. In a user survey, 8 out of 8 participants found the app difficult to navigate.

From Ideation to Reality
The high-fidelity mock-ups unfolded swiftly, with a keen focus on a color system inspired by the vibrant theme of the tattoo studio.
User testing surfaced critical insights - users were unaware of the top menu's scrollability, and the flash menu showcasing discounted tattoos was elusive.
Iterative Enhancements
In response, a horizontal scroll bar was introduced to indicate scrollability.
The color system was revamped to meet WCAG standards, and a rewards progress bar was incorporated to incentivize repeat visits.
